Hello

I have never been quick to share my testimony with many because I felt that it might not be as powerful or life changing as some. I have come to realize that even if it is not as powerful to some, that it has been life changing for me. I know that God can speak to someone no matter how insignificant I think it may be. The year 2020 was one that brought many situations that caused hurt in my life. Before I found Christ, I suffered through depression, anxiety, and many different obstacles that started to accumulate in my life and weigh down on me. I was constantly brushing them off thinking I will be fine; but eventually they became a heavy burden. If I am honest, there came a point where I had given up hope and accepted that my life was over for me. There was no purpose for my existence, everything in my life was falling apart, and I thought that if I busied myself, I would feel fulfilled. Keeping oneself busy does not solve the problem, I found that out as the void in my heart continued to grow and could not be filled. One night I decided to go to my favourite restaurant, and this is where it all happened. As I was waiting for my order, another customer came in, and I noticed he was staring at me. This made me feel uncomfortable so as soon as my order was ready, I left the as fast as I could. I noticed that the customer followed me outside, and I thought to myself what is happening? Am I going to have to fight this guy? This young man came up to me and started preaching the message of God to me. I soon realized that I misjudged this man, and as I went home that night God started working in my life. I started to accept Christ in my life little by little until I finally surrendered and gave myself to Him. I can honestly say this is the best decision I have ever made. Everything that I thought was broken in my life was suddenly restored. In life there are many problems that we all face and there are times that we feel we might not be able to gather the strength to overcome, but with God at our side He will guide us. Our walk with Christ will not always be easy, there will be trials and tribulations and you will always have to face adversity; but accepting God and putting your faith in Him will help you overcome anything!
